There are many reasons to want a Room Addition: a new Master Bedroom, add a Family Room or Den, add a Sunroom or Screened Porch, or even build a Studio for yourself. The major difference between a room addition and other remodeling is the added square footage, which often includes added roofline.
You can add room to the existing structure with an attic remodel or by finishing your basement, or even by converting garage space into a Family Room or Den, although most people do not like to give up a garage (you can even lose value by giving up the garage). Sometimes, a garage conversion is the only option available to a family that has grown quickly and desperately needs more room.
